Tweed Coast Tigers Kicking Goals for the Girls!!

24 Apr by Nadia Clark

It is with absolute pleasure and pride that I would like to announce that Tweed Coast Tigers have been recently recognised as a Chartered Club of the Women & Girls Community Football Charter. We are one of a handful of clubs in the QLD League to become Chartered, and due to us recently having completed the AFL Inclusive Clubs & Gender Equity Education Program, we are the FIRST “Inclusive” Club in QLD to have become Chartered.

The Women & Girls Community Football Charter is a commitment from Community Football Clubs to work towards making Community Football Club environments welcoming, safe and inclusive for Women & Girls. This charter sets out the expectation that Clubs will champion women and girls guided by four principles; opportunity, visibility, access and, investment.  Please follow the links above to learn even more about this initiative and commitment.

Our Club has proudly signed a Pledge, committing to a number of important actions to advocate for and celebrate Women and Girls in our great game.

We continue to encourage and welcome all females to become involved in our great club in whatever capacity they choose, whether that be playing, leading, officiating or administering.  If you would like to learn more or become involved, please reach out to our friendly volunteers!!
